In my opinion, there is nothing better than growing up in a strong, friendly, community-focused setting with loving family and friends that support you and teach you the values of being a good person. I think that truly defines what Woodstock is and what being born and raised here has given me.

I joke that I learned to skate before I could walk – I was active in the Woodstock Figure Skating Club from age 3 to 15, and was proud to be a member of our Woodstock Whirlettes and Whirlwinds precision skating teams. Being a part of such a tight-knit group, I learned the values of hard work, dedication and teamwork, and developed a strong sense and appreciation for our supportive community.

After venturing off into the world to explore and build on my education, I realized that Woodstock is home, will always be home and is the place I long to hang my hat at the end of the day. I decided to “officially” join my family’s business here at Jamieson-Hilts in 1999, and have been proud to provide the people of Woodstock and Oxford County with the personalized and professional customer service that they appreciate and deserve. It was an honour to be able to take over this business from my father, Jim McNamara, when he decided to retire in 2005. Since then, my brother Shawn and I have carried on the philosophy of providing exceptional customer service to our community, but also evolving our business to meet the needs of today’s consumer.

When I’m not at my desk, you can usually find me at the gym. I firmly believe that bodies were not meant to be sitting all day long, and I have developed a passion for fitness as a result. That passion has lead me to become a Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist (FIS) and Group Exercise Instructor. I also love spending time with my husband and daughter exploring the area’s walking and bike trails. My biggest passion, however, is cheering on my daughter and her entire competitive dance team as they compete throughout Ontario and beyond.

Woodstock really has been so good to me, and I have so many fond memories of growing up here. What better place to raise a family and build new memories than here!
